The Domini Impact Equity FundSM Investor Shares (DSEFX) ranks in the top 1% of the US Fund Large Blend category of mutual funds as calculated by Morningstar, a respected mutual fund ranking service, based on one-year risk-adjusted total return as of September 30, 2020.
The one-year ranking is particularly exciting as the Domini Impact Equity Fund underwent a strategy change on December 1, 2018. Domini is focused exclusively on impact investing and manages DSEFX using two investment management strategies:
U.S. Core Strategy
Normally about 90% of the portfolio is driven by Domini’s proprietary in-house social and environmental research of mid- to large-capitalization stocks and includes those with strong social and environmental profiles relative to their peers as determined by Domini.
Thematic Solutions Strategy
Typically about 10% of the portfolio seeks to invest in solution-oriented companies across the full market-capitalization spectrum focused on themes that the world needs now including transition to a low-carbon, clean-energy future, financial inclusion and development of sustainable cities and communities.
DSEFX’s top 1% one-year ranking as of September 30, 2020 was among 1,354 funds. Its three-year ranking in the top 7% among 1,230 funds was also strong. The 5-year ranking was 41% among 1,069 funds, and the 10-year ranking was 58% among 819 funds.
Morningstar Category % Rank is a fund’s total-return percentile rank relative to all funds in the same category. The highest (or most favorable) percentile rank is one and the lowest (or least favorable) percentile rank is 100. The Category % Rank above is for the Investor share class only; other classes may have different performance characteristics.
