Domini executives Adam Kanzer and Steve Lydenberg have contributed two chapters to The Landscape of Integrated Reporting: Reflections and Next Steps, an e-book published by Harvard Business School in November.
Though its meaning is still emerging, integrated reporting focuses on methods for assessing a company's financial, environmental, social, and governance performance in a single report. The Landscape of Integrated Reportingincludes 64 chapters written by participants in an October 14-15 workshop sponsored by the Harvard Business School Business & Environment Initiative.
According to editors Robert G. Eccles, Beiting Cheng, and Daniela Saltzman, the book "nicely captures the current state of integrated reporting in the world, highlights the critical issues that must be addressed to ensure its rapid and broad adoption, and contains many good suggestions for an effective action strategy to make this happen."
In Toward a Model for Sustainable Capital Allocation, Adam Kanzer writes, "The sustainability crises and the fragility of our global financial systems require us to rethink the role of the capital markets in our lives. The markets have been dramatically misallocating capital, and we must redirect them."
Integrated Reporting and Key Performance Indicators by Steve Lydenberg and Jean Rogers is based on the white paper From Transparency to Performance. It argues that mandatory, integrated reporting is desirable and discusses how key performance indicators can be used to identify sustainability data points that are useful for each industry.
