Vice President, Responsible Investment Research
Tessie Petion is a lead research analyst responsible for the application of the Domini Funds’ social and environmental standards to global equities. In her role, she is responsible for individual company research and analysis and issue-specific research projects. Ms. Petion is a member of the Domini’s Impact Review Committee, which is responsible for the review and approval of each company proposed by the Research Team as eligible for investment. In addition, she contributes to the research process through her development and review of our industry-specific key performance indicators, which are the cornerstone to Domini’s research process, as well as advising and coordinating on the overall research process and approach. Ms. Petion is active on engagement with companies, as well as, issue-specific advocacy, with a focus on food and responsible lending.
Ms. Petion joined Domini in 2008. Prior to joining Domini, Ms. Petion worked as an analyst and associate in Deutsche Bank’s Global Institutional Services department, and in international sales for the New York Stock Exchange. She also worked in the Dominican Republic as a consultant for the Consejo Nacional de Competitividad and in India as a consultant for the microfinance institution Basix.
Ms. Petion was the co-chair of the Sustainable Investment Research Analyst Network, a working group of USSIF, the Forum for Sustainable and Responsible Investment.
Ms. Petion holds a B.S. in business administration and management information systems from the University at Albany, SUNY; an M.A. in psychology from Tufts University; and an M.A. in international business and development from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
